SYMMETRIES OF TIME LECTURE - PROFESSOR FRANK WILCZEK, 2004 NOBEL LAUREATE: FEB. 13, 2020. GARREN AUD

Speaker: Professor Frank Wilczek, 2004 Nobel Laureate.

Date: Feb. 13, 2020. Garren Auditorium. Reception starting at 3:30.

Title: Symmetries of Time

Abstract: Time displays two fundamental symmetries: time reversal, T, and time translation, Τ (Tau). They inspire fruitful questions: Why is T very accurate, but not quite exact? Can Τ (Tau) be broken spontaneously? Those questions lead into axions and time crystals, respectively, two subjects currently at the forefront of research in physics.
